Actively co-ordinate and support the delivery of a safe and green city accessible to all.

Support and co-ordinate the delivery of an accessible city through information sharing and promotion. Ensure the location, design and maintenance of spaces in the city are accessible to all and in line with current best practice. Develop a themed approached to suicide and safety in the community. Support the delivery of edible growing initiatives in appropriate locations in the city. To support the continued delivery of the Biodiversity Plan actions incorporated into the Cork City Heritage Plan 2015- 2020 and any subsequent review of this plan.

Develop an Inter-agency Social Enterprise Strategy to support the retention and expansion of existing social enterprises and the development of new social enterprises

Deliver and support an inter-agency group to develop a Social Enterprise Strategy. Deliver and support a Social Enterprise Development Co- ordinator/animator for the City and a Multi-Agency forum to drive the delivery and implementation of a social enterprise strategy. Co-ordinate the delivery of a study on the economic and social impact and benefits of the social economy (including Community Employment) in Cork City and its potential to expand. Raise awareness among the private, public and community sector of the benefits of the social economy sector and promote the use of social economy champions for Cork City. Increase linkages between private sector employers and social and community enterprises and activities in the City in order to increase the impacts of social economy. Evaluate Boomerang Enterprises and explore its potential to be rolled out nationally and extended to other forms of re-use. Raise awareness of the supports, specialist knowledge and funding sources available to develop social enterprises within marginalised communities. Support and develop a city wide inter-agency group to promote the employment of Young people, Travellers, Homeless, Roma, People with Disabilities, lone parents and new communities including a mentoring programme.
