To work with “Arts for All” to align with UN SDG 11 and support the collective ambition to realise Cork City as a Centre of Excellence for Inclusion in the Arts. To advance plans for a capital project(s) to address the deficit in arts and cultural infrastructure, including meanwhile and long-term solutions, including a new city library.

The implementation of this action and the delivery of the associated outputs are consistent with the aims of the following objectives of the Cork City Development Plan 2022 -2028. 3.23 Cork Learning City 3.30 Libraries 3.34 Cultural Diversity 7.7 Education and Skills 7.24 Creative Arts 8.11 Strategic Arts and Culture Objective 8.12 Cork as a City of Culture 8.13 Cork’s Cultural Capacity 8.14 Cork City Arts Strategy 8.15 Creative Cork Strategy 8.16 Arts and the Public Realm These objectives have already been assessed for Appropriate Assessment as part of the Cork City CDP 2022-2028 NIR and the current plan proposal will not result in any activities over and above those already committed to as part of the above plans.
