• The concerts delivered included: Tuesday December 21 st - True Tides, Code of Behavior, Cork DJ Stevie G, and upcoming R&B singer Minnie Marley. • Wednesday December 22nd Drag Queen Candy Warhol and the Haus of Mockie Ah, Comic star in the ascent, Sinead Quinlan, Cornelius P. O’Sullivan, and Cork DJ Eddie Kay. • Thursday December 23 rd : Fish Go Deep, Clare Sands and Yves Solo and Stevie G. During the final concert, large fireworks displ ay was launched from Fitzgerald’s and Marina Parks. The display was accompanied by a specially commissioned musical piece by Fish Go Deep with words by Conall Creedon that was broadcast simultaneously on REDFM. GLOW The Bishop Lucey Park experience returned to Cork this year, with an animated and illuminated trail, commencing 26 th November, and running for the four weekends in the lead up to Christmas. The theme was based around the song ‘ The 12 Days of Christmas’. Due to COVID guidelines, numbers were restricted, and attendance was through booking only. A total of over 42,000 bookings were made. The Ferris Wheel also returned to the Grand Parade and operated until January 9 th, 2022. Other programming included young musicians from Music Generation Cork City singing Christmas songs in their localities as part of GLOW on the GO. St Fin Barre's Cathedral in association with St Fin Barre's Quarter presented the return of Christmas Carols for Cork City. Recorded at the Cathedral Christmas Carols were broadcast on a mobile screen, visiting the city centre, the city’s main hospitals, and also some nursing homes across the city.
