Award Winner Collaborative Learning Initiative – HSE & CETB Cork College of FET, Douglas St Campus , working together with their teams, devised an innovative learning experience when creative digital media students produced a valuable interactive animated information video with voiceover to support patients of the HSE outpatient team.

Shortlist Award Anne Gabriel YAA Young Acrylic Art Teacher . Anne’s commitment to students has been a life learning experience for each young artist, her dedication included constant engagement with students during the pandemic, encouraging artists to paint every week, and to display creations from all age groups on a free online weekly gallery.

Shortlist Award UCC ACE ASEM Lifelong Learning Hub is an official network of Asian and European higher education institutions working and learning together to achieve excellence in comparative research on lifelong learning, offering research-based education policy recommendations,

developing mutual understanding, and

facilitating researcher and student exchange between Asia and Europe.

Award Winner Soar Project, Community based Mentoring Programme is a collaborative initiative developed by UCC, MTU Cork, Cork Learning Neighbourhoods and Cork Migrant Centre. This accredited co-constructed programme provides formal recognition of community based mentors, building their capacity and equipping them with additional skills, theory, and knowledge.

Shortlist Award Willie Weir has worked at ACE, UCC for the last 32 years. Now in his eighties, his passion, energy, and enthusiasm for adult education in higher education has never waned, and his impact continued in 2022 when he was a key member and fundraiser of the team that developed a short course that provided a University experience for displaced students from Ukraine.

Shortlist Award UCC Equality Diversity and Inclusion Microcredentials Team with the School of Applied Social Studies produced a new course - Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Awareness for Health, Social Care and Education Professionals - which was delivered as one of the new UCC ‘Microcredentials’ modules collaboratively created by 16 academic and research staff members.
