ADULT EDUCATION - WORKPLACE LEARNING

Award Winner Munster Technological University Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Team has demonstrated continued commitment for over 20 years to formally recognising the prior learning of individual learners. This service supports lifelong learning and enables people to enter higher education by building on learning they had already acquired through the workplace, voluntary activities, and other relevant life experiences.

Shortlist Award St Michael’s Church of Ireland School, Blackrock is a workplace centred around core values of care, kindness, and inclusion. Practical examples of innovation include designing a bespoke professional supervision and coaching model to meet the learning needs of all staff, and webinars for parents in the area of inclusion and neurodiversity awareness.

Award Winner Mahon Family Resource Centre has over decades operated as a place of community support for all generations, offering resources ranging from childcare to retired residents groups in the area. With a strong commitment to providing supports for people at every stage of their lives, the centre aims to promote participation, self-help and community development.

Shortlist Award Roches Building Resource Centre have been working for over 40 years as a focal point for the Community, successfully adapting to changes in the community over the years, and providing courses, information & social sessions for local residents in response to their needs.

Shortlist Award The Young at Heart Echo Inter-Generational Quiz is now a firm favourite with all schools, colleges and communities who take part in this unique event. With each team comprised of two seniors and two transition year students from all over the city and county, it is an event where competition and ambition meet fun and laughter.
