Joint Activities and Events Shared Island Programme Irish Learning City Day 2019 - 2022
Each Learning City hosts or promotes Lifelong Learning jointly on this day each September. The Mayors of each city contributed to a joint video message of support for activities of the Irish Learning Cities Network in 2022 and were part of events hosted across the island online. Global Learning Festival 2020 & 2021 (online) featured a joint presentation given by the Irish Network of Learning, represented by each of the five cities. UNESCO Joint Video Messages from Mayors of all five cities The Network have collaborated in the creation of a joint message on behalf of the Irish Network of Learning Cities in support of UNESCO Institute of Lifelong Learning’s 70th anniversary in 2022.
