WESTERN ROAD RESURFACING AND FOOTPATH REPAIR CONTRACT (€1.6m) Construction of footpaths, drainage & carriageways is now substantially complete
AIRPORT HILL PAVEMENT RENEWAL CONTRACT (€1.5m) Preliminary design work has commenced for the re newal of pavements & cycle lanes. CORK NORTH RING ROAD Design Team for the route selection process has been appointed. Section 85 Agreement is being prepared. Route selection process will be concluded by the end of 2022. M/N20 CORK LIMERICK MOTORWAY Route selection process is underway. Selection of the preferred route is expected in the coming weeks. Roads Capital Programme: NTA Funded Projects: CORK CYCLE NETWORK: PHASE 3 – BALLYVOLANE INCLUDING FOX & HOUNDS JUNCTION Option assessment and preliminary design ongoing. SKEHARD ROAD- PHASE 3 CHURCH ROAD TO BESSBORO JUNCTION Construction has recommenced following temporarily suspension due to Covid Level 5 restrictions. MCCURTAIN STREET PUBLIC TRANSPORT IMPROVEMENT SCHEME Work ongoing on preparation of tender documents for appointment of contractor. PASSAGE GREENWAY ENHANCEMENT CONTRACT Phase 1 (Mahon to Docklands) Contractors Ward & Burke have been appointed. The construction phase is underway. Night operations are proceeding for a period of 5 weeks to facilitate the importation of fill with limited impact on the Marina. PASSAGE GREENWAY ENHANCEMENT CONTRACT Phase 2 (Mahon to Passage) (€4.0 million) Design Team appointment complete. First round of pre public consultation is concluded. Preliminary design of the preferred route is underway. LEGHENAGHMORE ROAD WIDENING & REALIGNMENT PROJECT Design Team is appointed. Part 8 planning is approved. The project requires land acquisition (28 distinct plots). Procurement of design team for detailed design to project completion is underway. CLARKE’S HILL Design and planning is complete. Land Acquisition discussions are underway. Negotiations are ongoing re. part funding of the project. COACH HILL Preliminary layout design is under development . MARINA PROMENADE. Procurement of design team is nearing completion. STREETSCAPE RENEWAL OF DOUGLAS ST, MARY ST & WHITE ST Tender documents for the selection of multidisciplinary design team is under development. RINGMAHON ROAD CYCLE LANES Design Preliminary Design is underway. KILCULLY & UPPER GLANMIRE PEDESTRIAN IMPROVEMENT SCHEME Preliminary design is complete. Consultation with residents’ groups is ongoing. Phase 1 works will be delivered this year with Phase 2 to follow next year subject to the acquisition of lands.
