BEAMISH & CRAWFORD QUARTER INFRASTRUCTURE The appraisal process for the selection of the bridges at Proby’s Quay and Crosses Green is complete. Det ailed design for the public realm enhancement of South Main Street, Tuckey Street, Proby’s Quay, Sullivan’s Quay, etc. is complete. Part 8 Planning documents are nearing completion. MARINA PARK PHASE 2. Tender competition for the selection of the design team is complete. NEW HORGAN’S ROAD (NORTH DOCKS) Tender documents for the selection of a design team are under development. Bridge Repair and Rehabilitation Projects: DALY’S BRIDGE: Project close out is underway.
BANNOW BRIDGE, GRANGE ROAD BRIDGE, BLACKSTONE BRIDGE & HEALY’S BRIDGE: Cumnor Construction Ltd. commenced works at Blackstone Bridge on 12 th April 2021.
PRINCIPAL INSPECTIONS OF BRIDGE AND CULVERT STRUCTURES WITHIN CORK CITY BOUNDARY 2020: Engineering consultant (WS Atkins) appointed. Inspections 90% complete.
PARLIAMENT BRIDGE : (North west wing wall - partial collapse of a section of the masonry buttress, exposed and dislodged backfill material, substantial bulge in the masonry façade) Project close out is underway.
New Cycle Lanes: HORGANS QUAY Construction of the inbound cycle lane is substantially complete.
CENTRE PARK ROAD Construction of the outbound cycle lane is substantially complete.
MONAHAN’S ROAD Construction of the inbound cycle lane is substantially complete.
SOUTH MALL Construction of two-way cycle lanes and related street repairs is underway.
VICTORIA ROAD, ALBERT QUAY & TERENCE MACSWINEY QUAY Construction is underway.
DONOVAN’S ROAD, COLLEGE ROAD, MAGAZINE ROAD TO GLAS HEEN LINK Donovan’s Rd and College Rd are substantially complete. Design & procurement ongoing for Glasheen path and Magazine Link.
MELBOURN ROAD AND ROSSA AVENUE Contractor is appointed. Work is progressing.
KNAPP’S SQUARE CYCLE AND PEDESTRIAN UPGRADES . Preliminary design work is underway and Section 38 will be advertised in May.
