Local Enterprise Office (LEO)

Trading Online Voucher Scheme:

Under the Government’s National Digital Strategy, the expanded Trading Online Voucher Scheme helps small businesses with up to 10 employees to trade more online, boost sales and reach new markets. There is up to €2,500 available through the Local Enterprise Offices with co-funding of 50% from the business. These are all subject to eligibility and funding availability

56 trading online vouchers were approved In January

Training and Webinars:

Local Enterprise Offices have moved training programmes, workshops and networking meet-ups online, covering areas such as cash management in a crisis. Training programmes are generally free of charge and places can be booked online, through the Local Enterprise Office.

212 people have participated in the webinars and training during January.

Mentoring:

Under the Local Enterprise Office Mentor Programme, clients work with an experienced mentor to identify solutions to areas of exposure within their business or attend a business advice clinic.

42 businesses have availed of this service during January

Measure One Grant Aid:

The Local enterprise office offers feasibility, priming or business expansion grant aid to eligible manufacturing or internationally trading businesses. The first evaluation and monitoring committee of the year will take place in late February

Schools Enterprise Programme:

Work continues in 14 post primary schools this year in the Schools Enterprise Programme with the Cork finals to take place on March 10 th .

Local Enterprise Week:

Local Enterprise week will take place on March 1 st to 5 th this year with a variety of workshops, webinars and clinics taking place nationally and locally. See www.localenterprise.ie/corkcity for further details
