Planning Applications Granted by Cork City Council: The Government’s Covid -19 emergency measures were in force for the whole month of April, meaning only a limited number of planning applications were legally able to be determined. Details of Planning applications granted by Cork City Council: • TP 19/38677 – change of use of 15 retail and office units to 16 apartments at Heritage Walk and The Parade, Ballincollig Town Centre, Ballincollig. • TP 19/38755 – change of use of 7 retail and office units to 11 apartments at City Square, Watercourse Road, Cork. • TP 19/38706 – construction of 16 residential units at Strawberry Hill and Blarney Street, Cork. • TP 19/37840 – demolition of buildings and construction of 4 to 6 storey mixed use office and hotel development at former Moore’s Hotel, Morrisons Quay, Cork. Under appeal with An Bord Pleanála: • TP 19/38441 (ABP 306692) – redevelopment of Tourist House, 20-42 Grand Parade, including change of use from former tourist office to hostel and the construction of a new 6-storey extension. • TP 19/38494 (ABP 306893) – 40 dwellings at Leo Murphy Road / Link Road, Poulavone, Carrigrohane, Ballincollig. • TP 19/38995 (ABP 306928) – 37 dwelling houses at Knocknahorgan, Sallybrook, Glanmire. This represents changes to layout and house types to development permitted under Cork County Council reference 16/5554 (An Bord Pleanála reference PL 04.248234).
