LOWER GLANMIRE ROAD RESURFACING & FOOTPATH REPAIR CONTRACT (€2.5 million) Construction is complete. Some minor improvement measures will be undertaken in the coming weeks such as the installation of cycle edge protection bollards, adjustments to lining, signage etc.
WESTERN ROAD RESURFACING AND FOOTPATH REPAIR CONTRACT (€700K) Construction is well advanced .
Roads Capital Programme: NTA Funded Projects: CORK CYCLE NETWORK: PHASE 3 – BALLYVOLANE INCLUDING FOX & HOUNDS JUNCTION (€4.0 million) Consultants appointed. Preliminary design works underway SKEHARD ROAD - PHASE 2 PARKHILL TO CHURCH ROAD JUNCTION INCLU DING CSO JUNCTION (€3.5 million) Construction contract is complete. Final Account negotiations are ongoing. SKEHARD ROAD- PHASE 3 CHURCH ROAD TO BESSBORO JUNCTION (€2 million) Contractor appointed; construction to commence shortly. PASSAGE GREENWAY ENHANCEMENT CONTRACT Phase 1 (Mahon to Docklands) Part 8 Planning is approved. Detailed design process is complete. Site investigation contract is complete. Construction tender process is underway. Construction is scheduled to commence pre Christmas PASSAGE GREENWAY ENHANCEMENT CONTRACT Phase 2 (Mahon to Passage) ( €4.0 million) Desi gn Team appointment complete. Preliminary design is underway. LEGHENAGHMORE ROAD WIDENING & REALIGNMENT PROJECT D esign Team is appointed. Part 8 planning process is underway. The project requires extensive land acquisition (28 distinct plots) CLARKE’S HIL L Preliminary Design and Part 8 planning is complete. Land Acquisition discussions are underway. Negotiations with TII are ongoing Re the part funding of the project.
COACH HILL Preliminary layout design is under development.
MAHON TO CITY CENTRE TRANSPORT CORRIDOR (€5 million) will be delivered as part of bus connects

CITY CENTRE PUBLIC TRANSPORT IMPROVEMENT SCHEME (€5 million) Construction is complete. Final Account discussions are ongoing. MCCURTAIN STREET PUBLIC TRANSPORT IMPROVEMENT SCHEME (€8 million) . Part 8 was approved by Council on the 12 th of October 2020; work now commenced on detailed design. SOUTH QUAYS PUBLIC TRANSPORT IMPROVEMENT SCHEME (€4.5 million) Consultants appointed. Data collection and option assessment is ongoing.
GRANGE TO TVP PEDESTRIAN & CYCLEWAY inc. N40 Bridge detailed design is underway. Ground Investigation contract is underway.
THOMAS DAVIS BRIDGE JUNCTION IMPROVEMENT SCHEME (€450K) Construction works are complete- signalised junctions now in operation.
SOUTH DOUGLAS ROAD JUNCTION Draft Part 8 design documents currently out for public consultation.
BALLYBRACK CYCLE SCHEME Part 8 planning approval in place. Consultant appointed for detailed design.
PEDESTRIAN SAFETY INTERVENTIONS 2019 (€500K) construction completed.
PEDESTRIAN SAFETY INTERVENTIONS 2020 (€500K) Contractor being appointed for Vicar’s Road, Dublin Hill, Ringmahon Road and Rathmore Road. Section 38 out for public consultation at St. Patrick’s Road. NORTHERN DISTRIBUTER ROUTE SELECTION ASSESSMENT. Design Team appointed for the route selection assessment. Discussions ongoing with adjoining developers/land owners Re SHD’s and requirements for set aside lands. SOUTHERN DISTRIBUTER ROUTE SELECTION ASSESSMENT Tender process for procurement of the route selection design team is underway. Design Team appointment scheduled for Q4 2020.
