Management and Maintenance of Parks, Open Space Areas, Outdoor Amenities and Recreation Facilities. Grass mowing, Roadside Verge Maintenance, Nature & Conversation Areas, Litter Collection & Disposal, Graffiti Removal, Floral Displays, Tree Planting. Maintain in accordance with BS 7370: Part 3: 1991 – Category D, F & H. Herbicide Application in accordance with BS 7370 Part 3 & $. Locations: North West, North East, City Centre, South East, South West and Extended Boundary Areas.

Grounds Maintenance

Litter Collection & Disposal: Parks, Open Space Areas/ Amenity Walks

Litter, Fly tipping, Domestic Refuse. Essential Service during COVID – 19 Pandemic

Playground Inspections: Inspect, maintain & repair in accordance with BS 5696 Part 3.

Daily -15 visual (105 weekly) Weekly – 15 – Technical (Foreperson) Monthly – 15 – Technical (Engineer) Annual – 15-External Engineer Technical Playground now open, but with signage advising COVID 19 guidance Repairs undertaken to O’Callaghan Park Playground in Glanmire

Lifebuoy Service:

202- Daily inspections Essential Service during COVID – 19 Pandemic

Golf Course:

Manage and maintain course including ancillary facilities in accordance with scheduled seasonal maintenance programme.

Course is re-opened with social distancing in place Circular tower plants in various locations around the city

Floral Planting:

Park Fixtures & Fittings:

Maintain, repair and replace as appropriate. Essential Repairs during COVID – 19 Pandemic

Park Security:

Manage and monitor security in parks, open space areas and amenity walks-engage external security as appropriate. A new Social Distancing Park Ranger Service was launched in late March (at locations listed below) to promote social distancing by users of the City’s main amenities to ensure these remain open for essential exercise: Fairfield, Popham’s Park, Gerry O’ Sullivan Park, Fitzgerald’s Park
