Infrastructure Projects Roads Capital Programme: TII Funded Projects: WESTERN ROAD RESURFACING AND FOOTPATH REPAIR CONTRACT (€700K) Construction of footpaths is well advanced. Resurfacing of carriageways will be undertaken in Dec/Jan 2021. Significant Irish Water works undertaken as part of the project. Roads Capital Programme: NTA Funded Projects: CORK CYCLE NETWORK: PHASE 3 – BALLYVOLANE INCLUDING FOX & HOUNDS JUNCTION (€4.0 million) Option assessment and preliminary design ongoing. SKEHARD ROAD - PHASE 2 PARKHILL TO CHURCH ROAD JUNCTION INCLUDING CSO JUNCTION (€3.5 million) Construction contract is complete. Final Account agreement reached in Nov. This project will be removed from future reports.
SKEHARD ROAD- PHASE 3 CHURCH ROAD TO BESSBORO JUNCTION (€3 million) Construction has commenced.
PASSAGE GREENWAY ENHANCEMENT CONTRACT Phase 1 (Mahon to Docklands) Contractors Ward & Burke have been appointed. Construction has commenced with major works expected from January onwards. PASSAGE GREENWAY ENHANCEMENT CONTRACT Phase 2 (Mahon to Passage) (€4.0 million) Design Team appointment complete. Preliminary design is underway. Preliminary consultation Re route options is ongoing. LEGHENAGHMORE ROAD WIDENING & REALIGNMENT PROJECT Design Team is appointed. Part 8 planning process is underway. The project requires land acquisition (28 distinct plots). CLARKE’S HILL Design and Part 8 planning is complete. Land Acquisition discussions are underway. Negotiations with TII are ongoing Re. the part funding of the project.
