High Level Goal 2 – Partnership, Inclusion and Equality
Submission source Summary of Issue Raised relevant to this High-Level Goal 2.2.9 Arts for All Key proposals in this submission are as follows:
• Recognition for “Arts for All” in the LECP through use of its logo and brand – to raise visibility - thus building on references in the City Development Plan (actions 3.11, 3.12 and 3.13). Use the LECP to invite like-minded organisations to sign up to the charter and promote it. • Support implementation of the Arts Council Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Toolkit • An assessment to ascertain if a new International-European festival celebrating the role of Disabled People/People with a disability in the arts can be embedded as a new sustainable festival for Cork City • Embedding “Realising Cork City as a Centre of Excellence for inclusion in the arts” at an EU level in the strategy • Build new innovative partnerships and support organisations through access to information, training, collaboration, and avenues for Disabled People/People with a disability to develop a professional practice, leveraging MTU, Cork ETB and Cope Foundation projects
