15.  Resource and Training Support: Our members feel that essential services, such as youth clubs, should not rely on volunteers alone but also need professional staff. Services need increased resources and funding alongside cultural training to foster a better understanding of different cultures in the community. 16. Accessible literature. Ensure that all information from educational organisations, local councils and state institutions is provided in an easy-to-read format, accessible. language, and multiple languages. Where possible, provide a visual representation of data in the form of infographics. 17.  Accessible Education for Everyone. Support those with different sensory needs to access the city’s cultural and learning opportunities through set quieter times and other initiatives

3.2.3. Cork Access Group (CAG)

We would like to see equality of access to all learning and cultural institutions. Changing spaces/ Care rooms with hoists in public buildings. Also, audio guides in museums and galleries.

3.2.4. Cork Community Media Hub

Involve the Cork Community Media hub as a vital partner for development of film, broadcast arts and community television under this LECP

3.2.5 Private Individual 1 3.2.6 Sinn Fein

Prioritise development of cultural, educational, and recreational facilities on the Northside of the City, specifically Blackpool.

(Education) Develop MTU and UCC campuses on the North side of the city. (Education) Provide training and education for more disadvantaged communities. (Education) Promote upskilling and career development for Cork City council staff. (Education/childcare): Develop a strategy to address the shortfall of childhood care and early years provision

3.2.7 Nano Nagle Place Incorporate Global Citizenship Education into learning objectives in the LECP in accordance with UN Sustainable Development Goals In line with Cork’s status as a UNESCO Learning City, remove barriers to marginalised and underrepresented groups. Advance the potential of Corks arts, culture, and creative industries. Clearly reference Sustainable Development Goals. Additionally, and Global Citizenship Education to add depth and rigour to the framework we would adopt for education in this plan.
