Put inclusion, diversity, and mass participation at the heart of arts and culture policy in the city. Specifically: • Embed the “Arts for All” charter in all partnership signatory organisations (by inviting them to sign) and identify and share best- practice. • Organise and support training to improve equality, accessibility, and inclusion for all in the arts. • Support actions that allow Cork city and region to become a European Centre for Excellence in the Inclusive Arts • Expand the Arts Alliance to the new expanded city regions with a focus on including marginalised groups • Empower young people to get involved in arts and creativity. • Optimise and extent the arts and cultural infrastructure in the city. • Advance the potential of Cork’s arts, culture, and creative industries. And Learning and Education services to contribute to economic growth • The submission supports the creation of a cultural hub for Cork and the use of repurposed buildings to create additional studio spaces, gallery spaces, practice rooms and artists residences to facilitate engagement in arts and cultures across generations and from marginalised groups.

Supports Objective 3.4 aiming to remove barriers to lifelong learning and promote cultural activities, vocational training, and digital literacy through community leadership to enhance the lives of people living in the Knocknaheeny and Shanakiel communities.

3.2.12 Church Group • Establish St. Peter’s Church as a prominent venue for artists, musicians, performers, and creators to showcase their talents and foster creativity, promoting various forms of artistic expression in Cork. • Develop educational programs, guided tours, and interactive exhibits that engage visitors in the stories, traditions, and legacy embedded within the church’s walls.
