The main relevance of this submission to this High-Level Goal is in relation to Community Safety, Housing, and Infrastructure. Key recommendations in these areas are as follows: Community Safety: • Ensure safety and wellbeing of staff and public through working with A Garda Siochána • Training and Support for public service staff to deal with harassment and intimidation within public services. Housing:
• Provision of inclusiveness in providing LGBTI+ aware staff for home help workers • Examination of ‘Tonic Housing’ model to provide specific LGBTI+ housing. Infrastructure: • Welcomes rainbow crossing on Patrick Street • Requests having at least one single occupancy gender neutral bathroom in all public buildings.
5.2.22 Arts for All submission
This submission supports developing structures and partnerships that supports accessibility for all people and promotes partnership approaches to make infrastructure and services more accessible according to best practice models of delivery.
5.2.23 Cork Child Friendly City
The main relevance of this submission for this High-Level Goal is in the promotion of cities and towns – and by extension of communities that make them up – where children: • Live in safe secure and clean environments/neighbourhoods with access to green spaces • Can meet friends and have places to play and enjoy themselves. • Have a good start in life. • Have access to quality social services. • Experience quality, inclusive, and participatory education, and skills development. • Can participate in community life
