Music Generation Cork City supports the stated objectives under this High-Level Goal:

2.2.4 Cork Environmental Forum (CCP)

This submission suggests adding a reference to “intergenerational fairness” in how we plan and use resources to link its main concern – sustainability and climate action” with inclusion and objectives.

2.2.5 Comhairle na nÓg Key proposals in this submission include (abbreviated):

• Provision of safe green spaces, free bathrooms, and safe and accessible places to meet peers including youth and entertainment hubs. • School buses and more public transport options. Reorganisation of bus lanes to make them more accessible. Making bus stops and buses safer to counter vaping, vandalism, and harassment. • Later opening hours in libraries. Being able to book study times. Improved modern technology. • Access to a variety of secondary school books in libraries • A career section for young people in libraries • A traffic light system with both quiet and collaborative working zones • Utilising space through both individual and group tables • Addressing resourcing issues / the funding challenge facing community organisations • The provision of more green spaces in the city to build back up community connection. • Addressing concerns of disadvantage facing 16.7% of the city’s population as well as an aging population and low residential occupancy in the city centre. • Supporting for embedding the City Council’s work in areas such as promoting Learning Neighbourhoods, Cork as a Healthy City, Cork Food policy and Cork Environmental Forum into the LECP • Recognising the connected nature of an supporting a connected approach to addressing challenges in health, housing, wellbeing, employment, the cost of living and lifelong learning. Key proposals in this submission include: • Greater collective action and mutual support to address challenges in the community and voluntary sector.
