• Prmote an LGBTI+ and Traveller community friendly business environment with safe, inclusive, and welcoming spaces for workers. • Establish a city funded “Innovation Hub” that provides resources, mentoring and workspace for startups and small business. • Develop a local supply chain programme to encourage businesses to source locally. • Launch a “Cork City Business Awards to recognise enterprises that are leaders in equality, inclusion, sustainability, and innovation. • Advocate fair and equal pay and conditions across the city council and among cities contractors. • Invest in Digital infrastructure. • Offer business rates relief for organisations with a strong commitment to sustainability, equality, and inclusion. • Advocate state-funded programmes to support home-based and small businesses. • Establish a city-wide Apprenticeship and paid internship programmes. • Support the city economy by creating an affordable reliable and well-connected public transport system. Expand the TFI bike scheme, increase public transport options in Cork City, put seats at all bus stops and increase park and ride facilities. • Encourage growth and development of local artists, musicians and cultural enterprises through grants and events. • Encourage local food production through grants and events. • Conduct accessibility audits for business. • Encourage business to follow environmentally friendly procurement through environmentally conscious procurement. • Use Community Benefit Agreements in development projects to ensure local communities benefit from economic development. • Ensure in planning that a percentage of city centre shopping units are for local small business and support living and working artisanal homes (“above the shop”) living.

• The main proposals in this submission are as follows: • Vision: The Chamber aims for Cork to be:

“A world leading sustainable city of neighbourhoods with affordable housing, green spaces, sustainable transport, active travel corridors, a vibrant and inclusive culture and to be a diverse integrated and welcoming city of innovation and enterprise.” • It has set out its proposals under the following key “enabler” headings:
