(Housing and Community) Bring in energy grants to address damp, support, and reward good neighbours, teach “bad neighbour” Apple to be good neighbours, remove disruptive people, better/more CCTV, enforce noise laws, address antisocial behaviour, address dampness draughts and stuck window locks. (Social Interaction) Safe community spaces to gather, CCTV that works, tidy up fields, more music and art meetings, martial arts resources, more coffee chats. (Identity and Belonging) Set up things to be proud of in the area, start a history/heritage group, deal with anti-social behaviour and lack of respect, rid area of persistently anti-social people, lower number of people renting, more communication from council and a directory of services. (Feeling Safe) Have a text alert system to report things for Garda attention, look at flooding of Nash’s boreen, address fear of anti-social neighbours targeting you if you say anything about them, enforce laws against dumping, have a community test alert, tackle dumping, crack down on drug dealing and anti-social behaviour, turn on CCTV, more engagement from Gardaí when crime/issues are reported. (Care and Maintenance) stop throwing food on street, remove litter, remove trouble making element, paint over pointless graffiti, push the dumpers and enforce litter laws against littering households. (Influence and sense of control) Council to make area safer for meetings, enforcement staff to deal with littering/burning/ communication from radio by council on things happening in community. The responses to this engagement were given in the “Bays” in the site area and according to 13 key themes which were asked to identify key issues and recommendations. Recommendations were suggested for most but not all themes. While every response cannot be detailed, at a high level the responses that appear to be most relevant to this High-Level Goal in terms of informing actions are as given below according to them (in brackets): (Moving Around): Issues; Overcrowding and residents sleeping on the floor in their 50’s. No space for play. Road closures due to Apple’s impact on their lives.
